Edith Valles

New Bedford, MA. – Edith Valles, age 81 years, died, December 22, 2011 at St. Lukes Hospital after a period of failed health. Edith was the wife of Joseph L. Valles of New Bedford, mother of Vincent Valles of New Bedford, grandmother of Jared Valles of Acushnet and Brandi-Leigh Joaquim of New Bedford, sister of Luisa Neves of Pawtucket R.I. and Cidalia Correia of Canton, Ohio. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Mrs Valles was a daughter of the late Maria (Tavares) and Manuel Teixeira, she was born in Brava Cape Verde Islands and lived in this area since 1948.

Mrs. Valles’s funeral service will be Wednesday, December 28th at Perry Funeral Home, 111 Dartmouth St. with service to begin at 10:30 A.M. Burial will follow at Pine Grove Cemetery. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Visiting hours will be Tuesday from 6 – 8 P.M.
