John Caccia

New Bedford – John Caccia, age 94 years, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, March 14, 2012 at St. Luke’s Hospital. He was the beloved companion of Odelia “Dee” Bolger of New Bedford for over 40 years. John is survived by many members of Dee’s family and some cousins in Rhode Island. He was the brother of the late Joseph Caccia.

Mr. Caccia was a son of the late Carmella (Penta) and Angelo Caccia. He was born in Providence, RI and has lived in the New Bedford area for many years. He was employed as a floor man at Old Stone Bank until his retirement in 1972. John and Dee spent many years traveling and enjoyed dancing at Lincoln Park.

Mr. Caccia’s funeral will be Tuesday at the Perry Funeral Home, 111 Dartmouth St. with religious services to begin at 11:00 A.M. Burial will follow at St. Francis Cemetery in Pawtucket, RI. Visiting hours will be prior to the services from 9 to 11 A.M.
