Maria Lima

New Bedford - Maria Lima, 89, died Thursday, May 3, 2012 at St Luke’s Hospital. She was the beloved wife of Antonio Lima. She was the beloved mother of Manuel, husband of Augustinha Lima of New Bedford and Fernando, husband of Lourdes Lima of Dartmouth. Maria is also survived by her grandson Kevin Lima, a sister Ernestina Dias of New Bedford and several nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Lima was a daughter of the late Manuel and Ernestina (Ferreira) Martins. She was born in Pico, Azores and has lived in this area since 1967. Maria was employed as a cleaner at Paul Modes Inc.

Mrs. Lima’s funeral will be Monday, at the Perry Funeral Home, 111 Dartmouth St. at 8 A.M. with a Mass of Christian Burial at St. John the Baptist Church at 9 A.M. Burial will follow at Rural Cemetery. Visiting hours will be Sunday 5-8 P.M. Relatives and friends are invited.
