Martins age 91 years, Died April 27, 2004 at St. Lukes Hospital, He was the husband of the late Amalia Martins, 2 Daughters Lucilia de Melo of New Bedford, Rosa Teixeira of Dartmouth Ma. 4 Sons Manuel of Dartmouth, Elias & Jose both of New Bedford & Joao 0f Maine They are all Martins, 16 Grandchildren, 10 Great Grand , and Several Nieces and Nephews.

Mr. Martins was born in Lagoa ,Sao Miguel, Azores .. He was the son of the late Rosa de Jesus Martins & Francisco Ferreira Martins. He was a Construction Worker .

His funeral will be Saturday May 1, 2004, from the Perry Funeral Home, 111 Dartmouth St. at 8 A.M. with a Funeral Mass at 9 A.M. at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, 230 Bonney St., New Bedford, MA. Visiting hour will be Friday Evening from 6-9 P.M.
