Maria Alice Furtado

New Bedford - Maria Furtado , 89, of New Bedford, died Saturday, May 8, 2004, at Bedford Village Nursing Home. Miss. Furtado had 2 sisters & several nieces & nephews.

Ms. Furtado was born in Corvo, Portugal and lived in this area since 1983. She was the daughter of the late Maria da Encarnacao Furtado & Jose Furtado. Ms. Furtado worked on a farm in Corvo, Portugal.

Her funeral will be Tuesday, May 11, 2004, from the Perry Funeral Home, 111 Dartmouth St. at 10 A.M. with a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 A.M. at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, Rivet St. New Bedford, MA. Visiting hours will be Monday, May 10, 2004 from 5- 7 P.M. at the funeral home.
