Nancy (Freitas) Crooks Died Unexpectedly June 4, 2004 at St Lukes Hospital in New Bedford.She is survived by 1 son Jeffrey Robert Rivard & his Fiancee Faith Martin of Acushnet, 3 Sisters Gina Shepard & her husband Gerry of Acushnet, Lori Bettencourt & her husband Jerry of Fairhaven, & Kathy Dupuis & her husband Paul of Acushnet, 1 Grandaughter Tuesday Rivard , Her best friends Kathy Douris & Ritchie DiMeco, Also Steven & Joshua Pinzino Whom she treated like Grandchildren.

Mrs. Crooks was the daughter of the late Samuel Freitas & Louise (Arborgast) Freitas Oldfield.She was also the sister of the late Samuel Freitas She was born in New Bedford, and lived in this area all her life. .

Mrs. Crooks was a Correctional Officer for the Bristol County Sherriffs Office.She Belonged to the Mass. Correctional Officer Federated Union.

Relatives & Friends are invited to Visiting Hours Monday from 2-4 & 7-9 P.M. at Perry Funeral Home 111 Dartmouth St. New Bedford Ma.02740. In accordance with her wishes she will be cremated. Interment of ashes will be private..
