Adelina Augusta Serpa

New Bedford – Adelina Augusta Serpa, age 86, passed away, peacefully, on Tuesday, January 22nd at Brandon Woods of New Bedford. She was the beloved widow of the Joao Ignacio Serpa. She was loving sister of 5 siblings: Manuel A. Morais of California, Fernanda Terra of Toronto, the late Helena Alves, Maria Alvira of Quebec and the late Jose Morais. She was also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Serpa was born in Fayal, Azores, daughter of Rosa A. (daSilva) and Jose J. Morais. She immigrated to this country in 1959 and worked as a Stitcher at the Cliftex Corporation. Adelina was communicant of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church.
Private services were held for Mrs. Serpa at the PERRY FUNERAL HOME, 111 Dartmouth St. in New Bedford.
