Antonio J. "Tony" Gravato

Antonio J. "Tony" Gravato, age 47 years, died unexpectedly on Monday, February 18th at his home in New Bedford. He was the loving son of Estrela (Pimentel) of Figueira da Foz, Portugal and the late Jose Gravato. He is survived by his brother Luciano Gravato and Pedro Gravato, both of Figueira da Foz; his daughter Celina Houtman of Dartmouth as well as several cousins, aunts and uncles.

Mr. Gravato was born in Figueira da Foz, Portugal where he resided until 1972. After immigrated to the United States, Tony worked as a Fisherman on various boats here in New Bedford.

A Graveside Service will be celebrated on Tuesday, February 26th beginning at 9:15 A.M. at Rural Cemetery. Relatives and friends are invited.
