Albertina S. Joseph

New Bedford – Albertina S. Joseph, aged 93, died Friday, April 5, 2013, at home in Fairhaven. She was the wife of the late Carl E. Joseph. Albertina was the loved mother of Carol Sawicki and grandmother of Jonathan Sawicki both of Fairhaven. Mrs. Joseph is also survived by her sister Emily Rose of Dartmouth and several nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Joseph was the sister of the late Antone S. Almeida Jr., Leonora Cory and Carminda Braz.

Mrs. Joseph was the daughter of the late Mary Augusta (Mendonca) and Antone S. Almeida Sr. She was born in New Bedford and lived in this area all her life. Albertina worked as a Spinner for Fiske Mill.
Mrs. Joseph’s funeral will be from the Perry Funeral Home, 111 Dartmouth St. on Tuesday, April 9, at 8:45 A.M. with a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Mary’s Church in Fairhaven at 10 A.M. Burial will follow at Rural Cemetery. Visiting hours will be the morning of her Funeral Mass from 8:30-9:30 A.M. Relatives and friends are invited.
