Edwin R. Santos

New Bedford – Edwin R. Santos, age 24, died unexpectedly on Thursday, May 16, 2013 at Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital in Boston. He was born in Puerto Rico, a son of Eileen Vargas. He has lived in this area for the past 10 years and worked as a laborer for a local sheet metal company.
His survivors include his mother: Eileen Vargas, step-father: Samuel E. Guzman, companion: Naomi Gomez; 2 children: Keneth Santos and daughter Kerializ Santos; 6 siblings: Xavier Santos, Rafael Trinidad, Anthony Trinidad, Kelvin Trinidad, Emily Guzman, Gabriel Guzman; maternal grandparents: Emilia Calderon and Ramon Vargas; uncle: Alberto Vargas all of New Bedford, as well as 3 nephews.
Mr. Santos’ visiting hours will be at the Perry Funeral Home 111 Dartmouth St. New Bedford, on Thursday May 23th from 9:00 A.M. to 12:00 P.M. Burial will immediately follow at Rural Cemetery. Relatives and friends are invited.
