Mildred Silvester

New Bedford – Mildred Silvester, age 93 of New Bedford, passed away on Wednesday February 5, 2014 at Kindred Nursing & Rehab Center-Hallmark after an extended illness.

She was the loving widow of Domingos Silvester and the daughter of Maggie (Grace) and Peter Rego.

She was a lifelong resident of this area and worked as a Domestic Cleaner for many years until her retirement.

Mildred was survived by her loving nephew, Leonard J. Silvestre, of New Bedford.

Her Funeral will be Friday, February 7 beginning at 9:30 A.M. at Perry Funeral Home, 111 Dartmouth St. in New Bedford with a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church at 10:30 A.M. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Burial will follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery. Visiting hours and flowers are omitted.
