Maria J. Raposo

New Bedford - Maria J. Raposo, 85, died Thursday November 4, 2004, at the New Bedford Jewish Convalescent Home after a long illness. She was the wife of the late Edmundo Raposo. Mrs. Raposo is survived by a daughter Zelia Raposo of Florida, and 4 grandchildren: Paul, Robert, Edmundo and Michelle Cabral. She also had 5 great grandchildren.

Mrs.Raposo was born in St. Michael, Azores and lived in this area since 1966. She worked as a stitcher at Paul Modes, Inc. until her retirement.

Her funeral was private at the request of the family. Burial was at St. John's Cemetery.
