Frank "Buddy" Viera, Jr.

New Bedford – Frank "Buddy" Viera, Jr., age 88 of New Bedford, passed away on Sunday, October 12, 2014 at Sacred Heart Home. He was the widower of Mary (Almada) Viera and the former husband of Irene Morock. Excluding his time in the military, he was a lifelong resident of this area and the son of Blanche M. (Bennett) and Frank Viera, Sr. Frank led a simple life, loved his family very much and was an avid golfer.
PhM3c, Frank Viera, Jr. proudly served his country in the United States Navy during World War II.
His family includes 7 children: Robert W. Viera of California, Christine J. Viera of New Bedford, Russell F. Viera of East Wareham, Randall W. Viera, Barbara J. Dumas and Raymond M. Viera, all of New Bedford, and the late Richard E. Viera; sister, the late Lucille Emin; as well as several grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.
In accordance with his wishes, he will be cremated and services are omitted. Arrangements placed in the care of Perry Funeral Home, 111 Dartmouth St. in New Bedford, Ma.
