Joseph Gallant, Jr.

New Bedford – Joseph Gallant, Jr., age 54 of New Bedford, passed away, unexpectedly, on Friday, October 31, 2014 at his home. He was the son of Florence (Dean) and the late Joseph W. Gallant.
Joseph was a lifelong resident of this area. Known as a hardworking, savvy businessman, Mr. Gallant was the Proprietor of an Appliance Recycling Company. He was also very kindhearted and loved his family very much.
He is survived by his mother, Florence (Dean) Gallant; 2 children: Joseph Gallant III of New Bedford and Jason Gallant of Norton, Ma; 2 grandchildren: Darian and Lacia Gallant; 2 siblings: Diane Faria-Sylvia of Fairhaven and Bruce Gallant and his wife, Susan, of Acushnet; step-father, Roger Rose, of New Bedford; as well as several nieces and nephews.
In accordance with his wishes, he will be cremated. A Memorial Service will take place in the funeral home on Tuesday evening from 6 P.M. – 8 P.M. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Arrangements placed in the care of Perry Funeral Home, 111 Dartmouth St. in New Bedford, Ma.
