New Bedford – Juan Garcia Gonzalez, age 72, passed away on Sunday, January 4, 2015 at his home of New Bedford. He was the husband of Edith Santiago and the son Margarita and Tomas Gonzalez.
Mr. Gonzalez was born in Puerto Rico and, after moving to this area, worked as a Fisherman.
He is survived by his children: Tomas Gonzalez, Lourdes Burgos, Juan Gonzalez Aponte, Johanna G. Perry, Edgar Gonzalez, Jose Gonzalez and Benny Gonzalez; as well as many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Mr. Gonzalez will be cremated. A Memorial Service will be held at Iglesia de Dios, 42 So. Sixth St. in New Bedford, on Wednesday January 7 from 5 – 8 P.M. Arrangements placed in the care of Perry Funeral Home, 111 Dartmouth St. in New Bedford, Ma.
