Captain Carlos A. Lopes

Aboard the Fishing Vessel “Northern Edge”-Carlos A. Lopes died unexpectedly December 20, 2004 when the vessel he captained went down. He was the husband of Maria C. (Reigota) Lopes of New Bedford. He was the father of 2 Daughters. He was the brother of Maria Anastacio of New Bedford, and Amantino Lopes of Stoughton, MA. He was also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Mr. Lopes was the son of Rosa M.(Marcal) Lopes of New Bedford, and the late Amantino Lopes. Mr. Lopes was the Captain of the fishing vessel “Northern Edge”. He enjoyed grabbing his fishing pole and fishing off the pier. He was a member of the Portuguese-American Club, and the Portuguese Club of Palm Coast, FL.

Mr. Lopes Memorial Mass will be Thursday December 30, 2004 at 10:30 A.M., at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, New Bedford. Relatives and Friends are invited to attend.
