Maria Francelina (Ponte) Delima

New Bedford – Maria Francelina (Ponte) deLima died Sunday January 23, 2005, at St. Luke’s Hospital. She was the wife of the late Manuel deLima. She was the mother of Joao Lima and his wife Ines of New Bedford, and Alvaro Lima and his wife Beverly of New Bedford. She was the grandmother of Paula M, Ian M, and Aaron J Lima. She was the sister of Maria R. Lopes of Toronto and Gloria Martins of Toronto.She was the sister of the late Alvaro and Jose Ponte, and Maria dos Anjos Andrade.

Mrs. DeLima was the daughter of the late Alvaro and Merces (Martins) Ponte. She was employed at Cliftex Corp. as a stitcher until her retirement..

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday January 28 at 10:30A.M. at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church Rivet St. New Bedford. Burial will follow at St. John Cemetery. Family and friends are invited. Visiting hours will be from 4-8P.M., on Thursday January 27, 2005 at Perry Funeral Home.
