John C. Dacunha

New Bedford – John C. DaCunha, age 46, passed away on Friday, August 28, 2015 at St. Luke’s Hospital. He was the loving companion of Sue–Ann Brasells and the son of Maria (Craveiro) DaCunha and the late Gil DaCunha.
John was born in St. Michael, Acores and lived in this area most of his life. He was recently employed at Rheinhart Food Service as a truck loader.
He is survived by his long time companion: Sue-Ann Brasells of New Bedford, his 2 sons: Justin and Nicholas DaCunha both of New Bedford, his mother: Maria DaCunha of New Bedford, his sister: Albertina Cope of New Bedford, his 2 brothers: Mario DaCunha of Dartmouth and Bobby DaCunha of New Bedford and several nieces and nephews. John was the brother of the late David DaCunha.
Mr. DaCunha’s funeral will be Wednesday beginning in the funeral home at 9:00 A.M. with a funeral mass at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church at 10:30 A.M. Burial will follow in St. John Cemetery. Arrangements placed in the care of Perry Funeral Home, 111 Dartmouth St. in New Bedford, MA.
