Maria C Moreira

New Bedford- Maria C. Moreira died Monday June 6, 2005, at St. Lukes Hospital. She was the wife of the late Jose P. Moreira. Survivors include a daughter Ludegarda Mello of New Bedford, a son Jaime J. Moreira of New Bedford, and daughter Maria Cristina and her husband Mauricio Freitas of New Bedford. A sister Maria Cristina Rego of Manhatten Beach, Cal., a brother Jose Vieira.

Mrs. Moreira was born in Furnas Sao Miguel Azores, Portugal. She has lived in the New Bedford area since 1966. She was the daughter of the late Faustina (Machado) and Manuel Vieira

Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated Thursday June 9, 2005 at 9 A.M. at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church. Burial will follow at St. John Cemetery. Visiting hours will be from 5-9 P.M., on Wednesday June 8, 2005 at Perry Funeral Home.
