New Bedford – Lawrence Joseph Costa, age 61 of New Bedford, passed away on Monday, June 12, 2017 at St. Luke’s Hospital. He was the husband of Deborah A. Quinn and son of the late Virginia (Tavares) and Henry Costa.
He was born in New Bedford, Ma and lived here all his life. He worked as a landscaper and in his leisure time loved car models and drag racing, but especially loved playing his bass guitar. He served in the U.S. Army National Guards
He is survived by his wife Deborah; his son, Dana Michael Costa and his wife Terin; 2 stepchildren, Angela and Alan Hatch; 2 grandchildren, Kason “his little man” and Kourtlan Costa; a sister, Deborah Breken and a niece, Roxanne Costa.
His visititation will be Thursday beginning in the funeral home at 8:00– 9:30 A.M. with a service to begin at 9:30 A.M. Burial will follow in River-Side Cemetery. Arrangements are placed in the care of Perry Funeral Home 111 Dartmouth St. New Bedford, MA 02740.
