Michael G. Messier

New Bedford – Michael G. Messier, age 68, of New Bedford, passed away on Thursday, April 11, 2019 after a brief illness. Born in New Bedford, he was the son of the late Alfred “Mike” Messier and Mary E. (Silva) Messier and was a longtime resident of New Bedford.

Mike was a member of The Reservation Golf Course. He loved his sports and was an avid fan of the Bruins, Red Sox and Celtics.

He is survived by his loving wife, Kathey Y. (Aldrich) Messier; 2 daughters, Alissa Rego and Ashlee Messier; step-children, Robert Aldrich, Barbara Foxworth and Rachel Aldrich; as well as his brother, Jeffrey Messier of New Bedford. He was also the brother of the late Deborah Messier.

In accordance with his wishes, he was cremated.
