Pedro L. Ramos, Jr.

New Bedford – Pedro L. Ramos, Jr., age 41, of New Bedford, passed away on Tuesday, July 16, 2019 at St. Luke’s Hospital. He was the beloved husband of Edna M. Soares-Ramos. Pedro was born in Canóvanas, Puerto Rico to Pedro L. Ramos and Olga Y. Santiago and had worked as a mason.

He is survived by his parents, Pedro and Olga; his wife, Edna; daughters, Genessy A. Ramos and Angela M. Soares-Gibau; sisters, Yarimel Santiago, Christa Ramos and Michelle Escobar; brother, Michael Escobar; as well as 4 nieces and 1 nephew. He was also the brother of the late Maria E. Santiago.

Pedro’s visiting hours will be held on Friday evening, July 19th from 5:00 P.M. – 8:00 P.M. His funeral will be Saturday morning, beginning in the funeral home at 9:00 A.M. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at Our Lady of Guadalupe at St. James Church at 10:00 A.M. Burial will immediately follow in Rural Cemetery.
