Joseph Rego Jr.

New Bedford- Joseph Rego Jr. died January 13, 2006 at Southeastern Massachusetts Health and Rehab Center after losing his battle with Melanomia. He was the husband of Irene (Pacheco) Rego of Dartmouth. He was the father of Jeffrey Rego of Deltona, FL., Dolleen (Rego) Roundtree and her husband Bill of Pheonix, AZ., and Candi Rego of New Bedford. He was the brother of Sophie (Rego) Vincent of Buzzards Bay, and the late Emily (Rego) Vieira, John Rego, and Angie (Rego) Correia. He is also survived by 4 Grandchildren, 1 Great-Grandchild, two nephews, and a niece.

Mr. Rego was the son of late Joseph and Mary (Rose) Rego. He lived in South Dartmouth his entire life. He was a truck driver for Park Oil Company. He also worked for Charles Vargas Oil Company, until his retirement in 1988. He was a U.S. Army Veteran of the Korean Conflict.

In accordance with his wishes He will be cremated.

At the convenience of the family the funeral arrangements are private.
