David M. Moco

New Bedford – David M. Moco, age 38, of New Bedford, passed away on Thursday, November 28, 2019 at Rhode Island Hospital. Born in New Bedford, he was the beloved son of Fernanda Maria (Mendes) Moco and the late Antonio Joao Moco. David was also the brother of the late Michael M. Moco.

David was a graduate of Bristol Community College and had worked as a correctional officer for the Bristol County Jail and House of Correction for many years.

He is survived by his mother, Fernanda and her companion José Luis; paternal grandmother, Estrela Moco; aunt, Florinda Mendes; uncle, Rui Moco and his wife Lia; cousins, Tony and his wife Venice Moco and Rui Moco and his fiancée Stacey; as well as many other cousins.

David’s visiting hours will be held Wednesday, December 4th from 5:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. at Perry Funeral Home. His funeral will be held on Thursday morning in the funeral home, beginning at 9:00 A.M. and followed with a service to take place at 10:00 A.M. Burial will immediately follow in Riverside Cemetery in Fairhaven.
