Maria (Linhares) Medeiros

New Bedford – Maria (Linhares) Medeiros, age 84, of New Bedford passed away on Sunday, April 12, 2020 at Brandon Woods of Dartmouth. She was the beloved wife of the late Joao Linhares Vieira.

Born in St. Michael, Azores she was the beloved daughter of the late Manuel Luiz Medeiros and Odelia (de Deus) Linhares. She had been a loving homemaker to her family.

She is survived by her 3 daughters, Carlota Goncalo of New Bedford, Ana Maria Linhares Vieira Correiro and Maria de Esprances Linhares Vieira da Silva, both of Portugal; 2 sons, Joao Vieira and Pedro Vieira, both of New Bedford; 11 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.

Maria’s funeral services will be private due to the recent mandated restrictions in regards to the Covid-19 Pandemic. Thank you in advance for your patience and understanding during this very difficult time.
