Mary (Amorim) Melo

Dartmouth – Mary (Amorim) Melo, age 88, of Dartmouth passed away on Saturday, May 2, 2020 at Brandon Woods of Dartmouth. She was the beloved wife of the late Manuel P. Melo, Sr.

Born in New Bedford, MA she was the beloved daughter of the late Manuel M. Amorim and Maria M. (Ramalho) Amorim. Mary had been a secretary for Oliveira Travel Agency for many years.

She is survived by her sons, Manuel P. Melo Jr. and his wife Christine and John E. Melo and his wife Elizabeth; grandchildren, Matthew and Jacob Melo; as well as several nieces and nephews. She was also predeceased by her late sisters Mary Joe Oliver and Stella Alexander.

Mary’s funeral services will be private due to the recent mandated restrictions in regards to the Covid-19 Pandemic.
