Donald Pacheco

New Bedford – Donald Pacheco, age 86, of New Bedford passed away on Monday, May 11, 2020 at Hathaway Manor. He was the beloved husband of the late Joan (Gonsalves) Pacheco.

Born in New Bedford, MA he was the beloved son of the late Manuel and Josephine Pacheco. Donald was a United States Army Veteran and served during the Korean Conflict. He then became a Police Officer for the City of New Bedford and retired in 1969. He later went on to become the manager of the local Animal Shelter.

Donald is survived by his 2 sons, Kevin Pacheco and Gerald Pacheco, both of Dartmouth; 2 granddaughters, Jillian Pacheco and Casandra Botelho; as well as his sister, Lorraine Souza of Wareham. He was also the brother of the late Arthur Pacheco, Manuel Pacheco, Albert Pacheco, Ed Pacheco and Mabel Rogers.

Donald’s funeral services will be private due to the recent mandated restrictions in regards to the Covid-19 Pandemic.
