Swansea – Ana Rosa Cruz Da Cunha , 88, of South Dartmouth passed away on Tuesday, December 8, 2020 at Country Gardens Nursing Home and Rehabilitation Center, Swansea of Chronic Lymphnode Leukemia and Dementia. Ana who preferred to be called “Ana Rosa” was preceded in death by her spouse Joao Da Cunha whom she was married to for 55 years.

Ana born in Setubal, Portugal she was the daughter of the late Maria Do Nascimento and Antonio Da Cruz. She immigrated to the US in 1974 first to CT and then to MA where she worked in the Garment Industry for 10 years. Although she enjoyed being a homemaker her true passion was sales everything from food to clothing to jewelry. Ana also greatly enjoyed in her later years crocheting her kitchen towels to pass the time.

Ana was preceded in death by her oldest daughter Rosa Santos of NB where her husband continues to reside Joao Santos.

Survivors include her daughter Celia Frazier and her spouse Frederick of Frazier of Mattapoisett and John Cunha and his spouse Brandy Cunha of Ocean Springs, MS. Ana and Joao had 10 grandchildren (Stephanie, Brittaney, Bianca, Benjamin, Jen, Tyler, Robert, Rebecca, Jackeline, Zachary) and 3 great grandchildren (Grace, Logan, Jack). Ana is preceded by two sisters and a brother and her surviving siblings are Maria of Acushnet, MA; Belmira of Setubal, Portugal; Mario of Setubal, Portugal and Fernando of Setubal, Portugal and numerous nieces, nephews, and godchildren.

Ana’s visiting hours and funeral service will take place on Saturday, December 12, 2020 at Perry Funeral Home from 1:00 P.M. -3:00 P.M.

Due to COVID restrictions, please be aware that all attendees are required by current mandated restrictions to wear a face covering at all times, to social distance 6 feet and to please refrain from any close physical contact. Attendance in the funeral home will be limited in order to meet the mandated capacity restrictions and could result with a wait time outside of the funeral home.
