Roger A. Debrosse

d. February 2, 2021

New Bedford - On Tuesday, February 2, 2021, Roger A. Debrosse, loving husband and father of four children, passed away peacefully at home. Roger was born on June 17, 1940 in New Bedford, Ma.

Roger attended Massachusetts School of Pharmacy. After leaving school, Roger went into the army and was stationed at Fort Polk, Louisiana. Upon returning home to New Bedford, Roger went to school and earned his certification in being an X-ray Technician. Following this, Roger decided to become a postal carrier and did this for 40 years. Along his mail routes, Roger made many friends that he enjoyed talking with. At Christmas time, he was thrilled to share with us some stories and tell us about his small gifts he received from his patrons.

When his children were younger, Roger was very involved with their athletic teams. He coached at S.E.Y.A.A. for many years while his boys played. He was also a member of the board at S.E.Y.A.A. Roger was the president of the NBHS Gridiron Club in 1984. Along with following his son’s teams, you would find Roger at dance recitals watching Terry on stage. Roger was a family man and devoted all his time to his wife, children and grandchildren.

We will all miss Roger, but we especially we’ll miss him during the holidays because of his expertise with carving the turkey.

He is survived by his wife, Theresa, his four children: Randy (Michelle) Debrosse, Terry (Daniel) Carvalho, Dana (Krissy) Debrosse, and Ryan Debrosse. Ten grandchildren: Kirsten, Alexis, Chandler, Logan, Dante, Tyrell, Aiden, Jaylee, Ryen and Tyler.

Roger’s private service was held Friday for his immediate family.

Arrangements are placed in the care of Perry Funeral Home 111 Dartmouth St. New Bedford, MA 02740. Please see our website: for condolences.
