New Bedford – On Sunday March 21st 2021 the gates of heaven opened up for Carla Cristina Raposo. Carla was a beautiful devoted mother to her two sons, Brian Correia and Noah Figueroa.
Carla worked for the Marriott Call Center and had previously worked for Vasco Da Gama Restaurant and the Royal II.
Born January 8th, 1975 in Angra do Heroismo, Terceira, Portugal Carla immigrated to America at 7 years old. Carla was a proud New Bedford girl. She loved her city!
She is survived by her two sons, Brian Correia and Noah Figueroa; her companion, Daniel Rebello of New Bedford; her mother, Ana Duarte; three brothers, Albert Raposo of New Bedford and Duarte Raposo and Alex Raposo both of Angra do Heroismo Terceira; one sister, Ana Couto and her husband Shane Couto of Freetown as well as her beloved nieces and nephews, Manuel Raposo of North Carolina, Raquelle Raposo of New Bedford and Matthew and Owen Couto of Freetown. Carla was the daughter of the late Manuel Raposo.
Carla was a beautiful soul who always put others first.
Carla’s visiting hours will be held on Thursday morning, March 25, 2021 from 8:00 A.M. – 10:00 A.M. at Perry Funeral Home followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church at 10:30 A.M. Burial will immediately follow in Rural Cemetery.
All attendees are required by current mandated restrictions to wear a face covering at all times, to social distance 6 feet and to please refrain from any close physical contact. Attendance in the funeral home will be limited in order to meet the mandated capacity restrictions and could result with a wait time outside of the funeral home. Attendance at the church and the cemetery will also be limited in order to meet their mandated capacity restrictions as well. Thank you in advance for your patience and cooperation during this time.
