Louis F. Costa, Jr.

New Bedford – Louis F. Costa, Jr., age 88, of New Bedford, passed away on Wednesday, May 19, 2021 at Sippican Healthcare Center. He was the beloved husband of Alexandra (Fernandes) Costa.

Born in Swansea, MA he was the beloved son of the late Louis F. Costa, Sr. and Maria (Cabral) Costa. Louis had been the owner of Like-Nu Cleaning Service for many years. Louis was a very active member of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Parish, including Eucharistic Ministry, Boy Scouts, Youth Group and St. Vincent de Paul Society.

Louis is survived by his loving wife of 64 years, Alexandra Costa; children, Debra Ferreira and her husband Ozzy, David Costa and his wife Tracey, Lynne Costa and her husband Bill Crowley, Kimberley Raposa and her husband Gary, Robert Costa and his wife Jacqueline and Kris Costa and his wife Courtney; grandchildren, Kristy Dupuis and her husband Travis Dupuis, Amy Ferreira and her fiancé Danny Campbell, Aidan Costa, Gabrielle Costa, Jacob Costa, Samantha Costa and Kendall Costa; great-grandchildren, Lyla and Joey Dupuis; as well as several nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his late grandson, Joshua Costa. He was also predeceased by his late siblings, Manuel, Albert, Margaret, Antone, Charlie, Mary and Irene.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to St Vincent de Paul of Mt Carmel Church, New Bedford.

Services for Louis will take place on Monday, May 24, 2021. Visiting hours will be held at Perry Funeral Home from 8:30 A.M. – 10:00 A.M. and followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church at 10:30 A.M. Cremation will follow.
