Maria Amaro

Dartmouth – Maria L. Amaro, age 90, of Dartmouth passed away on Sunday, June 27, 2021 at Brandon Woods of Dartmouth. She was the beloved wife of the late Jose Medeiros.

Born in St. Michael, Azores she was the daughter of the late Manuel Amaro and Diamantina (Paulos) Amaro. Maria had worked as a stitcher for a local clothing manufacturer for many years.

Maria is survived by her children, Maria Ventura, Jaime Medeiros, Jose A. Medeiros, Jose E. Medeiros and Mario J. Medeiros; 9 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren; as well as several nieces and nephews.

Maria’s visiting hours will be held on Thursday, July 1, 2021 at Perry Funeral Home from 5:00 P.M. – 8:00 P.M. Her funeral will be held on Friday morning, beginning in the funeral home at 9:30 A.M. and followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church at 10:30 A.M. Burial will immediately follow in Rural Cemetery.
