Phillip D. Oliver

New Bedford – Phillip D. Oliver, age 51, of New Bedford, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, August 24, 2021 at St. Luke’s Hospital. Born in Wareham, MA he was the beloved son of the late Roberta Oliver and step-son of Ronald Cruz and Sharon Cruz .

Phillip graduated from the New England Center for Arts & Technology, where he received his Culinary Arts Degree. He had been a local chef/cook for many years. Phillip also loved spending time with his family. He also enjoyed dancing and was always joking around.

He is survived by his 2 children, Roberta L. Oliver-Perry and Phillip D. Oliver, Jr.; step-parents, Ronald and Sharon; a grandchild, Sy’el Bodden; his 2 siblings, Ronnie Oliver and Ronald Cruz; 2 nephews, Caise Oliver and Travian; as well as several aunts, uncles and cousins.

Phillip’s visiting hours will be held on Wednesday evening, September 1, 2021 from 5:00 P.M. – 8:00 P.M. Cremation will follow.
