Efraín Colon Velazquez

New Bedford – Efraín Colon Velazquez passed away at home on Sunday September 26, 2021 at age of 82.

Efraín is survived by his loving wife Mirian Casiano Ramos of 62 years. They were married in Ponce, Puerto Rico on September 14, 1963.

Efraín is lovingly remembered by his children Carlos Efrain Colon Casiano, Jose Felipe Colon Casiano and Miriam Elizabeth Colon Casiano. His grandchildren Joemayri Colon Contreras, Jose Omar Colon Contreras and Armir Daniel Diaz Colon. His great grandchildren Jeomar Alexandre Colon, Jeremiah Isaiah Colon, Nayeli Victoria Colon and Chanel Bertha Restituyo Colon.

Efraín was born un Barrio Marrieño, Ponce, Puerto Rico in December 4, 1938. He graduated from High School at Ponce High were he obtained an accountant certificate. He went to study at Instituto Bíblico Interamericano after listening to his true calling, to preach the word of God.

Efraín enjoyed studying the Bible, making jokes and loved reading books.

Efraín was reunited with his family in heaven, his children Jose Reynaldo Colon Casiano and Miriam Ideliz Colon Casiano. His great grandchildren Caleb Colon and Kamryn Yoriel Colon.

His visiting hours and funeral services will be held at the Spanish Church of God located on 42 S. Sixth Street, New Bedford. Visiting hours will be held on Sunday, October 3, 2021 from 5:00 P.M. – 8:00 P.M. and the funeral service will take place on Monday, from 9:00 A.M. – 10:00 A.M. with a service to start at 10:00 A.M. Burial will immediately follow in Pine Grove cemetery.
