Alan Estrella

New Bedford - Alan Estrella, 64 years old went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, December 1, 2021. He passed due to heart complications. He was a NB High School graduate and he worked for many years within the NB School System. 

Alan had a great personality and felt compassion for everyone he met. His smile was infectious and memorable. 

Alan spent time enjoying fishing off local piers, WW wrestling, and going to his favorite restaurants: Dillion's, Danny's and the Sunrise Bakery (fondly known as his "office").

The family is forever grateful for all of the kindness shown to Alan over his lifetime, especially the medical community, coworkers, all of the people he called friends, and all of the neighbors at his place of residence.

He was the son of the late Margarida (Fernandes) and Antone Estrella. His late siblings are John Estrella, Nancy Estrella and Susan (Estrella) Lucas.

He is survived by two sisters, Nora Estrella of California and Natalie Estrella of Ohio and his Aunt Arsenia Fernandes of New Bedford. Alan was an uncle to John, Chris, Peter and to a niece Sara. He also had many cousins all whom he loved dearly.

Alan’s visiting hours will be held at Perry Funeral Home on Sunday, December 5, 2021 from 4:00 P.M. - 7:00 P.M. with a service to take place during this time. Cremation will follow.
