Maria Emelia (Oliveira) Dasilva

New Bedford – Maria Emelia (Oliveira) daSilva, age 91, of New Bedford, passed away on Wednesday, January 12, 2022 at her home with her loving family by her side. She was the wife of the late Manuel R. daSilva.

Maria was born in Ilhavo, Portugal to the late Joao de Oliveira da Velha and Maria (Ferreira) Morais. She had worked as a stitcher for several local clothing manufacturers over the years.

She is survived by her 3 children, Darline daSilva, Phillip daSilva and his wife Darlene and Ruy daSilva and his wife Cynthia; 1 grandchild, Sarina daSilva and 1 brother, Jose Oliveira.

Maria’s funeral arrangements were private.
