Rosa Julia Vega

New Bedford - Rosa Julia Vega, age 77, of New Bedford, passed away on Saturday, February 19, 2022 at St. Luke’s Hospital with her loving family by her side.

Rosa was born in Ponce, Puerto Rico to Julio Vega and Victoria Muniz. She had been a loving homemaker to her family throughout the years.

She is survived by her 2 children, Enid Santiago and Vivian Santiago; her grandchildren, Stephanie, Melanie, Christian, Mario, Nathalie and Joseph; great-grandchildren, Juan Carlos, Christian Joel, Jaslene, Jalexian and Jaselle; as well as 2 brothers and 4 sisters.

She was predeceased by her late granddaughter, Zuleyka.

Rosa’s visiting hours and funeral service will be held on Friday, February 25, 2022 at Perry Funeral Home. Visiting hours will be held from 9:00 A.M. – 12:00 P.M. with a service to take place at 12:00 P.M. Burial will immediately follow in Rural Cemetery.
