Alberto Pimentel

New Bedford - Alberto Pimentel, age 75, of Dartmouth, MA passed away on Wednesday, March 9, 2022 at St. Luke's Hospital. He was the beloved husband of Teresa Pimentel.

Alberto was born in Corvo Island, Azores, Portugal and was the loved son of the late Camilo Pimentel and Maria Pedra Pimentel. He came to this country in 1971 with his wife and his child, where he had worked at New Bedford Seafood until his retirement.

Alberto had a deep devotion to his faith and was a communicant of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church. He loved to spend time with his family, garden and landscape.

He is survived by wife, Teresa Pimentel; his son, Joe Pimentel and his wife Rosa Pimentel; grandchildren, Justin Pimentel, Alexandra Pimentel, Morgan Pimentel; his brother, Jose Camilo Pimentel and his wife Luisa Pimentel of Lisbon Portugal.

He was predeceased by his late sister, Olinda Machado of California.

A Funeral Mass with Alberto's cremains will be held on Friday, March 25, 2022 at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church at 9:00 A.M. Followed with a burial to take place in Rural Cemetery. All attendees are kindly asked to meet directly at the church.

In lieu of flowers, donations can kindly be made in Alberto’s memory to the American Heart Association or the charity of your choice.
