Farrell Kott Horne

Acushnet - Farrell Kott Horne, 96, of Acushnet, Massachusetts, passed away unexpectedly on March 15, 2022. Born to parents Lois Edgar (L.E.) and Anna Lucile Baucom Horne, on February 26, 1926 in Waxahachie, Texas.

He was the beloved husband of 74 years to Claire and father to the late Darryl R. Horne. He was the brother of the late Kenneth and surviving sisters Delores Horne and Daisy Sohns, Jr.

Farrell retired from the U.S. Navy as a meticulous airplane mechanic and security officer. After military retirement he worked as an auto mechanic for many years. Both he and Claire were very active congregants of New Life Tabernacle United Pentecostal Church in New Bedford.

Survivors include a son, Kevin D. Horne and wife Judy of Pawtucket, RI, a daughter, Deborah L. Leahey and husband Richard of Warwick, RI. Grandchildren; Stephen Horne of New Bedford, MA, Samuel R. Leahey and wife Deddeh of San Francisco, CA and great grandson, Reuben Konah.
Grace O. Leahey-Brown and husband Jaime of Baltimore, MD. Nathan Horne and wife Alyson of Carlisle, PA and great grandchildren, Lyla, Landon, and Lydia, Mathew Sylvia and wife Kristy of Duxbury, MA and great grandchildren, Ella, Mason, and Amelia.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made out to New Life Tabernacle United Pentecostal Church, 741 Kempton St., New Bedford, MA 02740.
