Leonora C. (Soares) Medeiros

Fall River – Leonora C. (Soares) Medeiros, age 96, of Fall River passed away on Wednesday, June 22, 2022 at SouthPointe Nursing Care Center. She was the beloved wife of the late James C. Medeiros.

Leonora was born in New Bedford, MA and was the loved daughter of the late Emily (Carreiro) Soares and Manuel Soares.

Leonora is survived by her daughter, Linda L. Medeiros of Minnesota; grandson, Nicholas Nystrom of Minnesota; niece, Joyce Mello of New Bedford and nephew, Earl Medeiros of Illinois.

A celebration of Leonora’s life will be held at Perry Funeral Home from 10:30 A.M. to 12:30 P.M. on Friday, July 22, 2022 with a service to take place during this time. Burial of her cremains will immediately follow in St. John's Cemetery.
