New Bedford – Frank P. Reis, Jr., age 70, of New Bedford, MA passed away on Wednesday, July 13, 2022 at St. Luke’s Hospital with his loving family by his side.

Frank was born in New Bedford, MA and was the beloved son of the late Frank Reis, Sr. and Palmira (Barros) Reis. He had worked as a salesman for Grossman’s and JB Lumber Co. He had also worked as a taxi driver for Bluebird Taxi Co. and had been a driver for Brandon Woods Nursing Home.

He is survived by his children, Frank P. Reis III, Bradford Reis and his wife Jessica, Beth Smith and her husband Darryl and Matthew Reis; 10 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his brothers, Joseph Reis and his wife Juanita of New Bedford and Henry Reis and his wife Deborah of Freetown and his sisters, Virginia Souza of Dartmouth, Linda Nichols of New Bedford and MaryAnn Kelly and her husband David of Westport.

He was the former husband of the late Patricia (Araujo) Reis.

Frank’s visiting hours and funeral service will be held on Monday, July 18, 2022. Visiting hours will be held from 8:30 A.M. – 10:30 A.M. at Perry Funeral Home and followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at Our Lady of Guadalupe Parish at St. James Church at 11:00 A.M. Burial will immediately follow in Rural Cemetery.
