Maria L. (Cabral) Oliveira

New Bedford – Maria L. (Cabral) Oliveira, age 81, of New Bedford, MA passed away on Saturday, July 16, 2022 at her home with her loving family by her side.

Maria was born in St. Miguel, Azores and was the beloved daughter of the late Manuel Cabral Dias and Alexandrina Duarte (De Sousa) Dias. She had been a stitcher at Cliftex Corp. for many years.

Maria loved spending time and cooking for her family, especially during their family gatherings.

She is survived by her 2 sons, Joe Oliveira and his wife Zelia and Carlos Oliveira and his companion Sandra Coelho; grandchildren, Corey, Caitlin, Chelsea, Brittney, Austin, Lindsey and Lincoln; 9 great-grandchildren and her brother-in-law, Jose Sabino (Zenaide).

She was also the mother of the late Nelson Oliveira and the sister of the late Zenaide Sabino.

Maria’s visiting hours will be held on Wednesday, July 20, 2022 at Perry Funeral Home from 5:00 P.M. – 8:00 P.M. Her funeral will take place on Thursday morning, beginning in the funeral home at 9:30 A.M. and followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 A.M. at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church. Burial will immediately follow in Rural Cemetery.
