Joao M. Brum

New Bedford – Joao M. Brum, age 70, of New Bedford, MA passed away on Wednesday, December 14, 2022 at Charlton Hospital with his loving family by his side.

Joao was born in Lagoa, St Michaell, Azores to the late Joao Maria Brum and Maria Rosa (Furtado) Brum. He had worked at AFC Cable and Carol Cable Manufacturing for many years.

Joao is survived by his sons, Bobby Brum and his wife Lisa and Gary Brum and his wife Jennifer; grandchildren, Gary Jr., Shawn, Devin, Nyla and London; sisters, Margarida Oliveira and her husband Rouel Oliveria; and Celia Mello and her husband Joe; as well as his aunt, Maria Amelia Cabral and many nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his late brother, Jose L. Brum.

Joao’s funeral arrangements are private.
