Dorothy M. Raposo

New Bedford – Dorothy M. Raposo, age 38, of New Bedford, MA passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, December 18, 2022 at St. Luke’s Hospital with her loving family at her side. She was the beloved wife of Steven Rodrigues.

Dorothy was born in New Bedford, MA to the late Joao Raposo and Dora (Pontes) Raposo. She had been a teacher at Coastal Kids Inc. She loved long car trips, going to the beach, and especially loved her sons Wayde and Harrison, whom she adored.

Dorothy is survived by her husband, Steven Rodrigues; her children, Wayde and Harrison Rodrigues; her siblings, Joseph Sousa and his wife Carmen, Patricia Clark and her husband Dennis, Jonathan Raposo and his wife Kelly and Grace Pontes and her husband Jason; as well as several nephews.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly asks that you consider making a donation directly to Steven and their children.

Dorothy’s visiting hours will be held on Monday, December 26, 2022 from 4:00 P.M. – 7:00 P.M. at Perry Funeral Home. Cremation will follow.
