Francisco Gonzalez

New Bedford – Francisco Gonzalez, age 76, of New Bedford, MA passed away on Tuesday, January 3, 2023 at St. Luke’s Hospital with his loving family by his side. He was the lifelong companion of Gloria Rose.

Francisco was born in Aguadilla, Puerto Rico to the late Juan Gonzalez and Bienvenida (Hernandez) Gonzalez. He had been a truck driver for a local cranberry company over the years.

He is survived by his children, Judith Trinidad and Francisco Gonzalez Jr.; grandchildren, Nyel and Jeremiah Gonzalez and Veronica Trinidad and Alexia Watkins; his lifelong companion, Gloria Rose and her children, Eduardo, Gloria R. and the late Jose and her grandchildren, Angel, Anthony and Hannah. He is also survived by his siblings, Providencia Cortes, Laura E. Gonzalez, Rene Gonzalez, Maria Soto and Israel Gonzalez; as well as many nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his late daughter, Michelle Gonzalez.

Francisco’s visiting hours and funeral services will be held on Tuesday, January 10, 2023 at Perry Funeral Home. Visiting hours will be from 10:00 A.M. – 12:00 P.M. with a service to be held during this time. Burial will immediately follow in Rural Cemetery.
