Bernardete De Sousa

Redwood City, CA – Bernardete De Sousa, Age 89, of Redwood City, California, Formerly a resident of New Bedford, MA, passed away on Monday, February 13, 2023 at home with her loving family at her side.

Bernardete was born in Madeira, Portugal and was the daughter of the late Antonio Ferro and Maria (DeJesus) Ferro, and was the wife of the late Jose De Sousa.

She is survived by her sister Lena Gomes; her sons Jose and Antonio; her daughter Maria; and her grandchildren Derek, Dominick, Brandon, Brianna, and Joseph.

Bernardete was predeceased by her siblings Silvana Jorge, Maria Sa, Jorge Ferro, Adelino Ferro, Jose Ferro, and Joao Ferro

Bernardete’s Services were held in private.
