David Decambra

d. April 17, 2023

David Edward DeCambra passed away peacefully in his home on April 17th, 2023 at the age of 64.

David was the captain of his dart league, and played alongside his late friend Joe Carr. He enjoyed driving his cars, namely his Mustang convertible. In his retirement, David loved collecting coins, and working on restoring his Thunderbird. He took great pride in caring for his mother, and looked forward to visits with his granddaughter, Charlotte, who brought him more joy than he could ever imagine. David also loved hanging out with his grand-pug, Banjo, who he called “his best buddy”. For 30+ years, David worked at Perry’s Funeral Home where he took immense pride in his career.

David is survived by his mother, Marcelle (Vaillancourt) DeCambra; his son Derek DeCambra and girlfriend Rachel Hart, his son Marc DeCambra and fiancée Megan Summers; his grandchildren Brody and Charlotte DeCambra; his Aunt Jeanne (Vaillancourt) DeCambra; and cousins Milton DeCambra and family, Carol DeCambra, and Renee (Vaillancourt) Sherburne.

David was predeceased by his father Daniel DeCambra, and cousin John “Jack” DeCambra.

Although David’s passing came unexpectedly, the grief will be outweighed by the fond memories of the kindness he showed to all. “The last guy to let you down.”

David’s visiting hours will be held Sunday, April 23, 2023 from 12:00 P.M. – 3:00 P.M. at Perry Funeral Home. His funeral will take place Monday morning, beginning in the funeral home at 10:30 A.M. followed by a service in the funeral home at 11:30 A.M. Burial will immediately follow in Notre Dame Cemetery.
