Milton Joseph Fonseca

New Bedford – Milton Joseph Fonseca, age 81, of New Bedford passed away on April 27, 2023 at St. Luke’s Hospital.

Milton was born in New Bedford, MA to the late Oliver Fonseca and Helen (Santos) Fonseca. He had been a custodian for the New Bedford Public Schools for many years.

Milton is survived by his brothers, Oliver Fonseca, Jr. and Marshall Fonseca; as well as several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his late sister, Pricilla Steadman.

His visiting hours and funeral service will be held on Wednesday, May 3, 2023. Visiting hours will be held at Perry Funeral Home from 8:30 A.M. – 10:30 A.M. and followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Lawrence Martyr Catholic Church in New Bedford at 11:00 A.M. Burial will immediately follow in St. John Cemetery.
