Karen A. (Demello) Sylvia

New Bedford – Karen A. (DeMello) Sylvia, age 74, of Dartmouth, MA passed away on Friday, May 26, 2023 at St. Luke’s Hospital with her loving family by her side.

She was born in New Bedford, MA to the late Daniel DeMello and Vivian (Davignon) DeMello. She had worked in her early years as a waitress for the Ground Round restaurant and later worked for Stop & Shop up until her retirement.

Karen is survived by her three daughters; Darcie Sousa of New Bedford, Danielle Fumo of New Bedford and Kyra Vaughan of California; one sister, Lori Penman and her husband Calvin of Dartmouth; 11 Grandchildren, Karen, Danny, Jessica, Chelsea, Joshua, Jade, Kali, BG, Anthony, Alex and Makenzie and 11 Great- Grandchildren; as well as several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services are private.
