Laurinda Pavao (Farias) Rodrigues

New Bedford – Laurinda Pavao (Farias) Rodrigues, age 94, of Dartmouth, MA passed away on Sunday, June 4, 2023 at St. Luke’s Hospital with her loving family by her side. She was the wife of the late Ildeberto C. Rodrigues.

Laurinda was born in Bretanha, Sao Miguel, Portugal to the late Francisco Pavao Farias and Angelina (Pimental) Farias. She had worked as a stitcher in the garment industry for many years.

Laurinda is survived by her daughter, Tina Marie Melo and her companion Joe Medeiros of New Bedford; grandson, Liam Joseph Norton of New Bedford; sister, Angelina DeMelo of New Bedford; and her brothers, Dennis P. Farias and Peter Farias, both of New Bedford.

She was predeceased by 6 siblings.

Laurinda’s funeral services will be private at the request of the family. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly asks to consider making a donation to the Alzheimer’s Association in Memory of Laurinda.
